“My brother, his friends, and their beloved dean are being detained today”

Citizen Cecil Davitadze, in the group Daitov, writes: “Friends! Thank you very much for your feedback! My brother, his friends and the dean who is dear to them are detained today. No one can deprive them of their freedom. These boys will return and embrace their homeland with open arms in their warm hearts. The fight continues for the liberation of our most aggressive generation!”

We remind you that the court sentenced the dean of the Batumi University of Arts Mamuka Jorbenadze and four students detained with him to imprisonment as a preventive measure.

The next trial will be held on January 28 at 12:30.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as part of a protest rally held in Batumi on December 3, a group of protest participants entered the Batumi University of Arts in order to hang a banner near the rector’s office, which they were prevented from doing by the lecturer of the same university, T.C. Because of this, the university dean M.J. verbally abused him.

The lawyer of the detained dean, Davit Japaridze, claims that the arrest was politically motivated.
